Halal Science Postgraduate Students Visit to The Empire Hotel & Country Club

5th October 2019 – Around 18 halal science postgraduate students from Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) conducted an academic visit to The Empire Hotel & Country Club, Brunei. The group was led by the Head of Postgraduate Programme at the Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre, Dr Zeiad Amjad Abdulrazzak Aghwan.

The objective of the visit was to improve the student’s knowledge and background and also to explore more about the activity and the requirements of syariah compliance hotel under the Halal Tourism services to maintain Muslim tourist behaviour.

During the visit, the students also observed the high quality services performed by both management and personnel of the hotel to the customers in order to maintain purity of Islam. Additionally, the students observed the high number of tourists that attended the hotel which is an indicator of growing halal tourism in Negara Brunei Darussalam.
