Bandar Seri Begawan - Fifteen Unissa officers visited the iCentre in Anggerek Desa yesterday to learn about its facilities and how to collaborate with it in research and development.

They were led by Deputy Rector of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA), Dr Hj Mohd Yusop bin Hj Awg Damit.

unissa-icentre.jpgiCentre provides comprehensive and effective incubation programmes and facilitates ICT start-ups, and is focused on building incubatees to pursue industry business opportunities, said Hui Kwok Leong, centre director.

Success to iCentre is defined as providing an innovative springboard valueadding to the creation of the next generation of entrepreneurs driving towards tomorrow's sustainable economic development.

iCentre, modelled after the Enterprise Incubator at the National University of Singapore, is managed by KR Consulting Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of the NUS Enterprise. It provides consultancy in the set up of high-tech business incubator in the region.
