IN CONJUNCTION with the 33rd National Day celebration of Brunei Darussalam, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) yesterday held a flag raising ceremony at the car park area of the university in Gadong.
Dr Haji Mohammed Hussain bin Pehin Penyurat Haji Ahmad, the Acting Rector, was the guest of honour at the event.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the handing over of the national flag by the guest of honour to an army cadet personnel of UNISSA. The raising of the flag was accompanied by the singing of the national anthem.
A Doa Selamat was read by Mohammad Rif’at Atiyah bin Anwari from the Students’ Representative Council (MPP) of UNISSA.
