UNISSA inks agreement with Indonesian university

THE Faculty of Arabic Language at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) organised a collaborative programme with Fakultas Tarbiyyah at Universitas Islam Darussalam (UNIDA) Gontor, Indonesia.
Among the programme included an Arabic book reading competition and exploration between the UNISSA students and the visiting UNIDA delegation comprising 30 students.
Yesterday, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed between the two universities.
UNISSA Acting Rector Dr Arman bin Haji Asmad witnessed the MoA signing as the guest of honour. He also presented appreciation prizes to the Arabic book reading competition winners.
On hand to sign the MoA on behalf of UNISSA was Arabic Language Faculty Dean Dr Siti Sara binti Haji Ahmad while UNIDA was represented by its Dean Dr Imam Bahroni.
Dr Siti Sara in her welcoming remarks said she hope the MoA signing between the two universities will further enhance cooperation in respective fields.
She added that both universities will support and assist each other, especially through language skills development activities such as holding Arabic Language camps.
