THE High Commissioner of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Brunei Darussalam, Air Vice Marshal Mahmud Hussain recently made a visit to Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA).
According to a press statement, the visit was to discuss cooperations in higher education with the institutions of higher learning in Bangladesh.
The high commissioner expressed interest in the religious way of life in Brunei Darussalam. Prosperity and harmony in this country are possible by the existence of an orderly system of education and the controlled development of Islam.
He also believed UNISSA will continue to move in developing its reputation internationally and play an important role in the quest to produce genuine Islamic intellectuals.

During the visit, UNISSA welcomes the presence of Bangladeshi citizens who were interested in pursuing studies at UNISSA. A total of three students from Bangladesh are currently studying at UNISSA in Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.
