VISION

To aspire to be the leading centre for Islamic studies programmes related to leadership and lifelong learning.

MISSION

To provide courses and training programmes which aim to enlighten and empower individuals and their communities with knowledge and competency.

1. To offer the academic programme in the field of halalan thayyiban which is systematic and effective in ensuring that research as well as a comprehensive and credible education is generated.
2. To conduct a comprehensive academic research relating to halalan thayyiban and systematically examine issues related to halalan thayyiban from time to time in order to protect the sanctity of Islam.
3. To offer courses and training that will assist researchers and academicians in conducting academic research, innovation, service/monitoring of experimental samples/scientific analysis in the laboratory and research development relating to halalan thayyiban.
4. Offering consultation and professional services and authentication in the laboratory for products in both the national and international markets in determining that these products are indeed in accordance with the standards of halalan thayyiban or otherwise.
5. Generating UNISSA financial income by introducing a variety of halalan thayyiban products whether in the form of research, publications and services to local as well as the international halal industry.
6. To maintain and uphold the sanctity of halalan thayyiban as a way of life and practice through teaching, research, professional services and training based on knowledge, faith, good deed, piety and morality in line with the teachings of Ahli Sunnah Wal Jama‘ah of Mazhab Shafi‘i.
7. To produce experts in the field of halalan thayyiban who are able to clarify and provide solution to the confusion/problem in the society, primarily in Brunei Darussalam and regional countries, and finally uphold the sanctity of the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
8. To establish a centre of excellence on halalan thayyiban based on comprehensive knowledge of both naqli and ‘aqli through teaching, research and professional services.
